About Bubbles
Bubbles is a female Shih-Tzu that was adopted from the Northwest Indiana Humane Society near Gary, Indiana in 2019. She was taken to the shelter after animal control officers found her roaming the street.
Although one of the shelter volunteers chose Bubbles for her name, they had no idea that she loves water, balloons, and popping soap bubbles! Her name fits her personality exactly! She also loves squeaky toys, and playing in her pool on the patio in the summer.
She is approximately 5 years old now, and believes that she is Queen of the house, and I exist to serve her! She’s sweet, sassy and loveable, especially to her wide circle of human friends she now has.
In our search for another shelter companion for her, she chose her brother Teddy, a Lhasa Apso, who was adopted from Camp Canine in Mishawaka, Indiana in 2020
My Inspiration
I felt a strong need to educate children about the importance of shelter pet adoption.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), almost 6.3 million homeless pets enter animal shelters yearly. Many of these unwanted animals find loving homes, yet less than half of them actually do.
I wanted to do something to not only educate, but help these shelters support their missions. Your purchase of this book will help shelters and other pet- rescue organizations continue to care for these animals until they are adopted into their “forever” homes.
Please support your local humane society and animal rescues by adopting, volunteering or sharing your monetary gifts with them.
